And you could try www.rockauto.com for pricing also..[/QUOTE]
I looked on rockauto, but couldn't find the part. Any hints on how to locate it there? Thanks in advance, jimpennjr

Update!!!!!
Took the HHR in to the dealership on Friday, they were not going to get to it until Saturday. They couldn't find out what was causing the power steering to cut out, but the service guy who had been going through it all with me somehow found a bulletin to fix it under warranty. He showed me the bulletin quickly, couldn't find a number, but don't really car, got the HHR fixed for nothing out of pocket. ChevyMGR, have you heard of this bulletin, or is my guy just wanting to keep a customer? Glad to have my HHR back.

My does that exact same thing and I don't think it is the motor. I say this because it sometimes goes out just a few minutes after moving down the road. Too short of time for the motor to overheat. All it takes to reset it is to pull over cut off the engine, then restart and it is cleared and I have power steering again. I seemed to take longer before it cut out again when I reseated all the fuses in the fuse box under the hood. I don't know what is making it cut out but trying to turn a HHR without powersteering is like trying to steer a log truck with two flat tires on the front!
