Pro/enthusiast scantool - Innova SDS43
What is BPPS? If it is Brake Pedal Position Sensor(bingo!), I never heard of needing to relearn it. There is supposed to be a calibration program in a scan tool, but I don't know why, it is a pretty simple digital switch; less than 3 volts and more than 3 volts, functionally 0 or 1, 0 volts-5 volts.
For about $60 you can get a programmer good for 3 fobs and a fob from Dorman. The programmer is brand agnostic.

I tried swapping out the BPPS for the P0573-00 code, using the one from the LT(which I know is a good working brake pedal sensor), but brake lights stay on with it installed, went back to the old one & brake lights work fine again. Ordered a new one & brake lights stay on, same as the one from the LT, so now I'm back to the old one again.
I bought this Dorman kit followed the included directions 5 or 6 times, didn't work, I watched youtube of it being used, did not work, just dropped it and the scan tool off this morning at UPS for refund.
Found out that the Xtool D7X (D7 V2.0) scanner does support both BPPS Calibration, and key fob programming for the HHR, so I will be getting that as soon as the refunds have posted.
Fortunately, the D7X is a LOT cheaper direct from Xtool, $332.10 shipped (after discount code) vs $448.33 shipped from Amazon. The two refunds I'm waiting on will be about $342! Only downside is 5 to 7 days to get it from Xtool with no upgraded shipping available.
