Pull to the left

HELLO ALL.
JUST NOTICED TODAY THAT WHEN I START FORWARD KINDA FAST, THE STEERING WHEEL PULLS A LITTLE TO THE LEFT, ON NORMAL START OFF, I DONT NOTICE IT. 08 HHR LT 30,000 MILES ON IT, BOTH FRONT TIRES HAVE 34 LBS IN THEM. NO NOISES, BRAKES WORK OK. IS IT TIME FOR ONE OF THOSE WONDERFULL VISITS TO THE DEALER?
THANKS.

Pretty common in every FW drive car I have owned. The better the HP to weight ratio the more you notice it. My mustang the rear end would slide out when you gunned it.

Torque steer is the influence of the engine torque on the steering for some front-wheel drive vehicles. For example, during full acceleration the steering may pull to one side, which may be disturbing to the driver. This either causes a tugging sensation in the steering wheel, or else the car veers from the intended path. As the torque steer effect is directly related to the engine torque capabilities, this problem becomes more and more evident with high output engines with strong torque in the low RPM range.
