Today after two days of really having the car the oil life monitor says that the oil life is 98% me and my cousin both kind believe that is kinda quick that it has gone done.

I do have a small oil leak that I didn't notice at all but thats covered in my warranty and its nothing to big of a deal. I'm more worried about the oil life.

Any ideas like is that normal.

I think they base it on a 5,000 mile change so 1% would be 50 miles, 2% is 100 miles. Have you put 100 miles on it since the oil change?

I have a '06 like you with slightly less miles (just under 116,000) so this may help you compare.

To get from 100% down to 50% where I change the filter only it has taken 5,805 5,977 6,270 and 7,530 miles.

To get from 50% down to 10% where I change the oil and filter it has taken 5,598 5,500 4,395 and right now it's
at 5,255 miles and 13% so I'll do oil & filter in a few days.

To get from 100% down to 10% total miles has been 11,6067 11,403 11,477 10,664 and now 12,786 at the 13%.

There is a thread on how the OLM works you should be able to find by using the search. A lot of engine starting and stopping, stop & go driving and higer oil temps will cause it to drop faster.

dont forget that how many times you start and stop the eng affects the oil time.....start ups are the worst time for oil.....

Okay with that thinking in mind then it does fit just perfect today. Today I've drove it all day to work and what not at it went to 97% and stayed like that all day so no worries. Just a little concerned. Just wasn't sure how it worked and I thank you all for explaining it.

The only thing I have to figure out now is the remote start but I already have a thread open for that.
