1st of all I'm a NEWBIE and I imagine this was discussed a gazzilion times before ....YES ..I've used the search feature and did not find the exact answer to my question. -- I have a 2006 and just the other day lost my radiator due to a hole in it from ..? who knows some rock or something.
Very expensive fix LOL

Friend of mine who is a member here thought there may have been a recall or some other DEALER fix to prevent this from happening.

Any advice would be much appreciated !!!

The A/C evaporator is exposed in the lower opening, but I don't recall anyone loosing the radiator.

There is a TSB on the issue but no recall.

 

Bummer..

Certainly wouldn't hurt to add some protection to the lower opening..

The "Gutter-Guard Grill" is like $3. & 10 minutes to fit in..
And many other aftermarket ones too..
