Radio Connections

Hey, hows it going..
So our car had a faulty evaporator (&#128561 and long story short, after about 5 hours of hustling we managed to strip the car down the metal and took out the iron frame that's screwed to the body. We got a replacement evaporator and fixed it in (it works).
Turns out we hadn't really been paying a lot of attention to where the stuff went in and were placed. Like the wire harnesses and all. We managed to put back everything and fix it the way it was but the funny thing is, I had never noticed an extra connector in the wiring harness that leads to the radio.
I know it's supposed to be only two connectors, of different shapes that go into the back of the stereo. But somehow theres actually 3. One, I know is supposed to go there as its unique. But there's two other of the same kind. No sound comes out of the speakers if I connect one, but the other works good (with only the front speakers.)
I had it connected in and just noticed yesterday that my subwoofer was crackling horribly, and my rear passenger speakers weren't working. It was only the fron passenger and the driver side door speakers that were functioning. I'm not too sure about the tweeters on the pillar but I don't think they're working either.
Also my radio blinks on and off at times intervals when it's turned off. It turns on and shuts off in like a second. It does this repeatedly.

Where do I start? Thanks in advance.

Allen P
P.S Can I also get the connector diagrams for the radio on the 2006HHR LT?

Start by testing the speakers, they can get wet and corrosion will keep them from working.

They were actually working fine the moment before we started taking things apart.
I also forgot to add.
I tried playing with the sound adjustments (Fade, Bal) and I found out that whenever I changed the balance to full right, nothing would come out of the speakers, but on when it's full left, both sides start working again.

Thanks for the reply,
Allen P

Then check the right speakers.

Will do.
One more thing. My car has the chime removed. I suppose so because I don't hear anything. Could the extra connector be for the chime "module" ?

No, it’s because the speakers are not functioning properly. A definite sign the door speakers are damaged and need to be replaced

Is the radio stock? Stock radios don't have a "chime module". The wiring diagrams have been posted many times in the AV section. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/audio-video-17/

Did you mean "aren't functioning properly"?

It's the radio that came with the car. The original one. It hasn't been changed (I guess it is stock).
The speakers are working fine, I checked them. I switched the rears onto the front and it's the exact same scenario. The front ones worked and the back ones didn't. I put it back the way it was.
