"843- You pulled bumper covers for adding the horns. I just peeled back the inner fender."

Yeah I pulled 'em off sleeper, its not at all difficult, and with my back its easier not working in the wheel well. Sometimes I have to make what may sound like silly adaptations in order to lessen the pain, those of you with good backs, take care of them.

Because once you mess your back up, life takes on a more difficult aspect.

One of my little side projects is taking a pair of HHR front seats and having them made into office chairs, one for home, and one for my Charlotte office. I had an epiphany a few weeks back, since my back hurts the least in my HHR's, why not take that comfort inside with me?

I'll post up some pics when they are done here in a couple of weeks.

The fabbing up of a seat mount that will keep them at that perfect angle found in the HHR while still allowing them to be mounted on a rolling and height adjustable office chair base has been a trial and error thing at best.

I was thinking something along the lines of Sparco 5-Point harnesses in a complimentary ebony color.

My buddy the welder took a full week to get over his initial "You wanna do what again??" reaction.

Yea a 5 point harness won't let you down.. That's how I roll..

I would have liked to see your welders expression to this request..

If you do leather, add the heat, your back will appreciate it.

Couldn't find leather seats at a price I wanted to pay, so I snagged a set of ebony LS/LT cloth seats, and adding heat is an interesting idea....now how to rig up a power source?

Its not the first time Josh has fixed me with his patented "Deer in the headlights" look, and probably not the last either.

Maybe I can set up a production deal, even a line of HHR Simulators for those in snowy places who keep theirs parked in the winter, OK gotta stop coming up with ideas....this could get "dangerous and expensive".

Look out for understeer if you find yourself posting too fast 843de. You might get yourself turned all sideways and crash your computer desk into a bookshelf.

Sadly that's already happened, sometimes I think I'm the illegitimate love child of Tim "The Tool Man" Allen, but the numbers don't add up. He was 13 when I hatched.

Good idea on the power supply sleeper, thanks!

Really sorry about sidetracking the thread Eric, please forgive me, its the antibiotics and prescription cough syrup making me even odder than normal.
