Rear Passenger Window Problem
Rear Passenger Window Problem
I just started having an issue with the window. I put it down a few inches when I parked it so it wouldn't get too hot inside but when I came back and tried to put it back up so i could run the A/C and it wouldn't budge. Given how much rain we've been getting, I was kind of upset by this but there was nothing I could do at the moment. Each time I've gotten into the car, I've tried putting it up, both with the front controls and on the door itself but to no avail. Now, today it actually went up. Given that it worked today, I want to say it's probably a loose wire but where and what else could cause that? Is there an easy way to diagnose this and fix it?
There's a chance that you have a bad regulator/motor assembly, but it could be nothing more than a loose connection. Either way, you'll need to access the guts of the door.

If it was failing to work with the master switch, but working with the door switch, or vice versa, you could suspect the switches. But I believe your issue is in the door itself.
Here's a link to a vendor with replacement regulators, be sure to watch the imbedded video on the procedure involved, it's very informative.

It could be a loose wire or it could be that armature has atleast one dead spot in it. If it happens again try this. Hold the window switch in the up position and hit the center of the door panel pretty good several times. If you have already checked for loose wires by that time and it works for you then that would be the armature in the window motor. I am not sure if our window regulators and motors can be obtained separately but if they can then you would only need to motor.

You can just buy the motor assembly without the regulator, Cardone sells a remanufactured motor as part number 42-1028 for the right rear. It lists for $69.99 plus a core charge at any parts store that handles the Cardone line.
