Passenger does not like your driving?

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

squeaks galore

two child seats in the 2nd row for our wagon, so my regular passengers don't amount to much weight overall. But we drive an '06 2LT bought June of that year, and it seems like the squeaks from the rear interior are getting louder for us with the warmer weather. In winter we hear every crackle and pop under the tires/undercarriage amplified (probably just due to sound travelling better in cold temps), and now all minor bumps cause some squeakage...

I'll be pulling out the cargo shelf and spare tire cover soon to get access to all the little bolts for those storage compartments, etc. You know the little ones with hinged plastic lids right behind the 2nd row? Other than that, I've thought about using masking tape on all those interior seams to test drive whether it's a plastic rub causing the noise. I just had the rear hatch serviced with replacement pneumatic cylinders recently, too (it was popping/whining when the gate lifted).

Don't know if this will help you investigate your '08 2LT's noise... I also realize 2006 model year means the body has been jarred plenty over time, in my case, of course.

Exactly how does that squeak sound to you? More of a sharp chirp sound, or something groaning in the actual shocks/struts perhaps?

You may want to look at the rear control arm bushings, I think there may be a service bulletin. Or, just shock absorbers, or spring mounts (the rubber donuts).
