Any tips on how to do this job? Looks easy but have never done it. Looking for wisdom.

 

A. Did you read the heading of the "tutorial library" section before you posted in it? Specifically the part that says this is not the place to post requests for help etc.

Well, then I will tell you what the procedure that I found 3 years ago when I searched was. Down at the bottom of the wiper there is a plastic cover that just pops off with a bit of gentle prying, then you will see the bolt that holds the wiper on.

 

to be precise Don it is a nut that holds the wiper arm in place, seeing as we are being specific. but enough fun, off with the wiper arm and blade assembly!!

 

So, I removed the nut and I can't get the arm off. There is a small amount of rust around the nut so I sprayed it good with WD40. It seems to be stuck on pretty good! Any tricks or tips on how to coax it off of there?

 

If you want to avoid risking damage, grab yourself a wiper arm puller, they're pretty cheap.

Only thing I could add is a rag and a screwdriver and patience. Those pullers may be good, you could always return it for a refund.

 

Ordered a wiper puller, should be here in a few days. I hope it can do the job! This has turned into a real project! The thermostat was easier than this.
