Mine was red with black vinyl roof
Sounds like a very scary accident. Glad to know you made it through the accident. Looks like a really cool car. Cars were solid back then...probably why you survived.

Stay safe and hope your record continues to grow.

I liked that old Mercury, my mother vetoed me buying a 1965 Mustang 2+2 , I would have been dead if I was driving that.

Oh, a Mercury guy!

This is the car I learned to drive in (1971 Mercury Montego, same color as this picture minus the vinyl roof) and drove for a couple of years before I got my AMC Pacer:

My very first car I never got to drive. My dad was fixing it up for me but gave it to my sister's boyfriend after his caught on fire. I believe my first was a 66 Chevy Impala.

So I ended up buying a 75 (I think) Buick Skylark.

Yeah...that's me. 😆 I paid my uncle $50 a month for it while in high school. I think a total of $600.

I bought a 77 Chevy Camaro when I graduated high school. This isn't mine but almost identical...with t-tops. They leaked like a waterfall. It was the biggest POS I ever owned! 😆

Just spent lot of time on my front washer...6 bolts, peek so not to mess up wiper arms and left hand hose off..pushed back on..worked fine. Now for the back! Someone has been in there before me as the GM part hose with all the weird bends was not present..hose and nozzle under lots of hose tension and nozzle plastic clip one broken.replaced nozzle with used on and a hose joiner..cant get nozzle to seat turn right left push in..no luck. By the way, garage changed plugs for wife and pushed the bracket back towards the firewall so the air cleaner contraption wouldn't seat on gromet/pegs. Front air hose should go off first, then electrical connection plug...bent bracket forward at least an inch and wa;a fit..7,000 miles from now I'll do air filter myself. Mechanics leave out all sorts of screws working on HHRs..

I made it through half of Finnegan's Wake. I still can't figure out what you mean.

Happy New Year from Hanover County. I would like to find a hose and nozzle for my 2006 HHR lift gate. What was in there does not look like part in picture. Guess bc it's 2006, model was changed in 07 onward...Point was I make fewer mistakes working on this car then grages my wife takes it to..they bent the air cleaner reap post bracket towards firewall and nothing would line up. Front washer passenger nozzle hose became unattached and I guess it somehow caused rear washer not to work..separate hoses from washer pump. I have 3 washer pumps and 1 plastic water tank from a 2008. Chesterfield Auto parts has NINE HHRs between Genito Rd and Midlothian location...going Wed after VA appointment. Need anything picked up? We live close...
