Rear Wiper Sweep

My rear wiper only sweeps 3/4 of the back window. Is that normal?

I was just thinking about this too. For my liking, mine does not go as far over to the drivers side as I would like either. I do think this is standard unfortunately – just a bad design. I will stop and look at the next HHR I see parked and look at the wiper pattern.

I *almost* missed not having mine this week. But remembered how superfluous it is in that it barely cleans the back window, am glad I too opted for a rear-wiper-delete option (aka, the SoCal Special mod).

Like it or not in the dead of winter and when there is so much crud on the back window it is a welcome sight to see out and know who or what is behind me.

To be honest most rear wipers are limited in wht they clean but a necessary evil in the winter here.

Even though it cleans only a limited area, it is IMO useful. I would rather have it than not.

I'm frequently using mine, moreso in winter to clear the road salt/brine buildup.I do use it when driving in the rain too.
Some of you Lo Cal guys are learning the benefits of a rear wiper lately,eh?

You need it in the snow belt. The guys in Cali don't need it because if they need to clean their back window they can just drive really fast and that wicks the water away.
