As low as the price is for a pair of the membranes and the fact I was born a few miles north of where Extra-Partss is based I figured it would be a good deal. They came yesterday, matched perfect and work fine so I'll save to old and repaired ones just in case.

Good choice, I ordered three one for each of my OEM remotes and one for a spare!
You know when you have a spare in the tool box you will most likely never need it!
Murphy's law sorta modified!

I'd just like to chime in on the cheat method :)'

I punched the foil with a good old fashion hole punch so I had a nice clean round contact piece. Next I thoroughly cleaned that area with rubbing alcohol. Then I used "Welder" glue to attach the foil. don't be to stingy with it but then again you don't want glue all over the place. Worked for me and it had lasted three years before I wrecked the car.
