Shifter Repair

How I repaired the common shifter problem. I used a piece of 1/4" stainless steel tubing drilled to accept the knurled pin 5/32", shrink tubing epoxied on the end to contact the spring. The tubing is easy to bend by hand to conform to the shifter tube. Should last forever.

Photo of the replacement shaft is in my gallery.
Hope this helps those who want to tackle the repair themselves.
