Any chance you checked for codes before erasing them by disconnecting the battery to install the new solenoids?

Why did you replace solenoids? Were there codes telling you to?
Exactly what is the problem? "Not shifting gears" means it is parked somewhere.

Are you scanning the TCM? Is the CEL on?

Contrary to popular wisdom, the transmission codes do show with a standard reader. The P07xx codes are from the TCM.
Forcing solenoids and reading live data requires a computer interface. That data is meaningless to most people, including ASE techs.
