Slow air leak from valve stem

I have a slow air leak from one of the valve stems. Do I just replace the stem and reattach old TPS unit to it, or do I need to reprogram anything afterwards?

I found Schrader Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor 20018 for $2.69 (https://www.autozone.com/engine-mana...30642_0_220059). Anybody had any experience with these?

You can replace the valve stem, and reuse the TPMS , no reprogramming required

If the TPS sensor is the original from 2011, the sensor battery is at the end of it's service life. You should replace the entire assembly.

If you identify where the leak is exactly you might be able to fix it. If the rubber stem is cracked and leaking need new stem. If it is leaking under the cap try tightening the valve core if that doesn't work get a new valve core, they are really cheap almost literally a dime a dozen. Could cruise by the local tire store and ask the tire buster for one off the floor.

You always wondered what that funny 2 prong cap on bicycle tires was? A core removal tool. Also available really cheap.

This kit is $3.23 on ebay
