Unhappy Spider cracking on rear bumper.

Anyone else have this issue. On my 08' LT2 I have a spider crack (webbing) about 5 inches in diameter in the corner. Looks like it's spreading and ready to flake off soon. No accidents, and is washed and waxed weekly. Sad to see this Aready happening. Garaged kept since purchased used in Febuary.

Sounds like it was recently Tapped in a parking lot?

Or most likely the bumper was repainted at some point.

Even Brand New cars are sent to bodyshops when damaged on the dealers lot or in transport. And those will Never show up on any type of carfax report.

At least it's plastic and won't Rust, once it gets bad enough or you just can't stand it, take it to a GOOD Bodyshop and have it stripped down and repainted. INSIST they use the proper Flex Additives in the Primer, Sealers, and Paint. That will help Avoid future cracking and spider webbing.

Agree with A & P.....you got tapped in the parking lot.

Only way, that I know of, to correct this is to sand, fill and paint.

As we say in Carolina hhrokie, "you done got thumped", it'll need repainting.

Tag your it. Todays bumpers can take a hit and spring back well but the paint often cracks and leaves webs.

I also think you got tagged by some idiot.

Repainting the flexable bumper covers does require adding a 'flex-agent' to the paint.. Really helps in this area..
