Sputtering, idiot lighs coming on, speedo bounching

Hoping I can get some info. First off, I'm not a mechanic or a car guy, I'm more into motorcycles. I've got a 08 LS that recently sporadically sputtered while driving along. Thought maybe it was bad gas or something, it seemed to go away when we filled it up. Took a 2 hour trip yesterday, and it got BAD. This morning, the speedometer starts jumping all over the place, the engine light came on, and so did the icon of a car with a lock on it. Girlfriend took it to tire kingdom to have an oil change, they also changed 5 fuses, said they were all bad. They gave her 3 of the fuses, I can see 2 are blown, one looks fine to me. I Don't trust tire kingdom, but that's a different story....

She then took it to local chevy dealer (I was in a meeting all day is why she went), they did diagnostics and came up with some codes. They told her they were false codes, whatever the hell that means, and couldn't pinpoint any problems. They told her if it happens again, to come back. It happened not even an hour later, so she went back. The mechanic at the dealer was out to lunch, but she said the guy working the counter rode with her, don't know what his position is. Of course, everything was back to fine when he got in, so he couldn't say much. When she came to pick me up, everything started happening again.

Here's what the sheet from the dealer says.
Performed diagnostics and found history codes u0101 loss of communication with trans control module. u0073 control module communication bus off. p0700 transn control module malfunction. p0107 manifold absloute pressure sensor circuit low voltage. p2544 trans torque request circuit. conditions that caused fault no longer present. may have been caused by tire kingdom pulling fuses. road test over 4 miles and vehicle operating to specs.

We're 2 hours from home, and of course it's a long weekend, so I can't get back to the dealer until Tuesday. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be before I go in to talk to them? Like I said, I'm not a car guy, but I am a research guy, so I wanna go in with what knowledge I can about what it could be.

Thanks!

A. check the connection of the large red wire to the under hood fuse box.
B. check that the highrise bolts that hold the 2 halves of the under hood fuse box are tight.

One of those is most likely the problem. Oh, and if the car was jump started recently RTFM there are special instructions for jump starting these cars.

And now you say "no Owners Manual"? https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...s-manual-3074/

Sounds like a voltage problem.
Check your battery connections and especially the hot side connection at the underhood fuse block.
There is also some known issues of the underhood fuse block becoming loose where it pieces together.

These cars can do some strange things when they experience a voltage surge or drop.
You also may want to get your battery tested.

Donbrew. When you and I type at the same time, you always post ahead of me.
I guess I need to type faster.

P.S. Welcome to the site HeavYMetal.

As usual, Don and George are right on top of things, so all I can add is to the forum.

Once you've checked everything they outlined, get back to us when you can.

Thanks! I'm gonna go have a look at what was suggested. The battery is only a couple years old, the one that came in it when we bought the car used went bad like over night.

And, batteries can go bad at any time. We've had a couple members find that
out after stating their battery wasn't that old.
Not saying it is the battery, but I would still have it checked to be safe.
