stalls in traffic

Okay, I also have this problem with my 2007 HHR 2.2L LT. It runs fine until the temps go above 75, after which the stalling gets worse with higher temps. It usually stalls whenever I'm in traffic and I make a stop. I've replaced the spark plugs and boot coils, cleaned the throttle body intake, ran injector cleaner through the fuel system several times as well as a few pints of Marvel Mystery Oil. I've replaced the ground connectors at G(107) as well as sanded the metal on the bell housing where the ground is made, and the connectors themselves. I've done a transmission service where I drained the tranny, blew out the cooler lines with compressed air, and replaced the filter. There are no obstructions, kinks or crimps in the cooling lines. I've cleaned the air filter several times. The only DTC I had was a loose gas cap issue, but I've cleaned the cap and the filler neck, subsequently that DTC code is gone.
HELP!!! Does ANYONE know what the real issue is??? I drive for a living and this is definitely affecting my ability to earn.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Matthew, to the forums!!

Code descriptions don't help us to help you, we would need the actual code. There may be a code that hasn't set hard yet, is still pending. You should check for codes again, post them up here, we'll see if we can figure this out together.

Temperature related, I would be guessing at air and/or fuel related. You said you cleaned the air filter? Do you have a reusable or oiled air filter? Did the MAF sensor connector get plugged in properly?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The air filter is oiled & reusable, the MAF sensor is indeed connected, I'll rephrase my statement regarding DTCs - prior to cleaning the gas cap and the filler neck, I had a check engine light on, and was getting a "check gas cap" message, the CEL has since gone off, and the message is no longer showing. I never knew what the code was. I'll have an auto parts store check for any codes, and get back to you.

Sounds good Matt, there are also 'historic' codes that may help point us in the right direction.

If it turns out to be P0100 through P0103, Get some mass air flow sensor cleaner and a paper air filter. The oiled air filters often cause problems, fouling the MAF sensor. Use NO other cleaner on the MAF sensor. Someone will correct me if some of these codes do not indicate a dirty MAF.

I’ve been running an oiled air filter for a few years, the trick is , don’t over oil it!
Clean the MAF with a quality cleaner specific to it, like CRC

Just found a fantastic deal on Amazon for that 2-in-1 pack!
https://smile.amazon.com/CRC-Throttl...70_&dpSrc=srch

Whoops! Only a deal if you can wait that long. Don't understand why shipping is so long even though sold by Amazon.
