That is true bursjon.
But the point of my other thread was to "remind" donbrew. He often refers people to the very helpful links in his signature. On occasion, those links don't show in his posts signature. I was just reminding him of that.

The regulars here know of his helpful links, but some of the newbies may be confused if they look and see a "linkless" signature when he posts up in another thread.

I'm glad you made a comment on that and not me..

I think I finally fixed it. Sorry, I had done a work around earlier, but it broke ,too.

I swear my Sig showed on my first post this morning, I spent several minutes making it show.

Mine started making a popping noise a couple of weeks ago that continued to get worse over the next day. I knew it was coming from the front driver side so I got my brother to shake the car to make the make the popping sound. I reached under placing my hand on different parts to see if I could feel where the sound was coming from and it was the sway bar link. The bottom bolt had come loose and after tightening it, the noise is gone!

The U-Joint under the dash has been greased. I may try and oil the shaft on the out side of the car. Could it be the spline the connects inside to out at the firewall?

Grease does not repair worn out parts.
That must be what they meant by "top of the rack".
