Sticky door handles

Tried using the search function for this, but its not working on my tab. So I know the door handles break. Mine aren't there yet, but they do bind up often when I pull them.
I know depo makes a kit to replace the handle, but after googling it I read that I should maybe replace the pin only.

I want to do this when I install new door speakers. Has anyone just replaced the pin only? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure about just replacing the pin but here is a tsb about the handles. Go to post 167. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...-23231/page17/

Here is another one that may be helpful. Post 127. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...-23231/page13/

If they are binding, there is something in there that either needs adjusting or lubricating. Best to check that out first and resolve the problems, before you start acquiring parts that will probably do the same thing once installed.

Is there a magnifying glass icon at the top of your page? That is the search.

This link starts out on a "glue it back together" solution, but if you bear with it you will find the info you seek.
