The only time I have this problem is when the rear windows are open. I just open a front window a little bit and the problem goes away. Had the same problem in my Dodge Ram Quad cab. Seems to be more of a prob with a squared shaped interior.

I am not sure that would solve the problem if the windows are rolled down below the vent visor would it?

I'm not sure what exactly causes it, but MrVette is right. Having the rear windows open just a little causes the throbbing (I call it the "helicopter effect").
You have to have the rear windows open more than just cracked, and have the front windows down as well, or else you're going to experience the noise.

Hope it helps.

I just drove over 3000 miles to Texas and back and did not have any of the noise from wind. I have vent shades and I think that is why. It rained a few times and no worries of rain coming in the windows. I always drove my S-10 and other cars with the windows open but no visors and realize now I will never own another vehicle and not put vent shades on it.

I actually can't think of a car I've ever had that this *didn't* happen...
