sunroof leak

Having a small leak with my sunroof when I take it through a touchless carwash. I have taken it back to the dealership twice with this issue and they cannot find a leak and told me to handwash instead and that it was nothing else they could do and take it up with GMAC at their 800 #. Anyone else having problems or solutions before I play phone roulette with GMAC? Driving around with a roll of paper towels to line the inside of my sunroof when carwashing is taking a lot of the joy out of the new ride. Thanks for the help.

The dealership should be calling GM for you. I have spoken with GM on another type of problem with my HHR and they were very nice to deal with. Try this number: 1-800-222-1020. Follow the directory instructions and you will get a REAL person. Sounds like they should hook you up with another dealership.

I have the exact same issue, mine just allows a small amount of the spray in due to the pressure. I have not had any other issues.

****ty dealership man, if they are GM owned I'd be sending in some bad reports about them. Also might give a sun-roof install place a call and see if you cant get them to give a suggestion.

Roof

That's why I made sure I had no sun roof...

They always leak at some time.

I am sorry to hear that HHR's seem to be no different. We can put a man on the moon but can't keep water out of an HHR>>>> It's such a bummer to have a leak in a new car!

Hope GM will do something for you.

Good idea FS...

Also sorry to say, I've never had a sunroof/leak problem in any of my cars (past or present) Most of which had factory sunroofs... guess I was lucky in that respect?

I am the same way..I love the idea of a sun/moon roof but chances they will leak at some point are great.
I really hope yo uget somewhere with the dealer or GM..cause that would totally bum me out. How outrageous they told you to hand wash it
Someone would have gotten a real close up view of MY HAND. You dont spend money on a new car to be treated like that.

OK oK rainbows..I am better now..

I agree with you DJ. That is unless he wanted to hand wash my HHR everytime I wanted it washed. :)
