Does the sunroof require any maintenance? Like lubricating or greasing? When I opened it today, it kind of makes a whining noise, and I don't really know why. Just wondering if I needed to grease it or anything.

Sorry, I tried searching the forum for this, but couldn't find anything. If there are other threads about this, I apologize.

 

I do nothing for mine.
Occasionally it will "squeek" when I shut it, but that is my 'cue' to actually wash the car with water as it might be dusty.

On the other hand, unless it is raining, my sunroof is open ALL the time (first thing I do when I get in is pop it open!).
So don't know if that has anything to do with anything.

It has been replaced once (last summer under warranty) when a bracket busted.

I insisted on a sunroof when I was shopping for my baby...LOVE it.

Yeah, the sunroof was a MUST HAVE option for me too!!!

I just sprayed some white lubricant grease stuff my dad had in the tracks, and that seemed to have taken care of the noise. Funny, it didn't do that yesterday, but today it did... Who knows...
