Sunroof squeaks

For the past couple of days now everytime i close my sunroof it squeeks nothing serious but i always tend to think that it will become serious.
The only thing is that i does not always happen if i go a close it and then go out again on the same day it does not happen the second time. Is there a place where i can put some greese or WD40 or something to help it close easier.

Thanks

If it is squeaking towards the end of the closing cycle, get a can of Silicone Spray Lube and shoot some lightly into the tracks at the closing sides and end. This should quiet things down considerably.

Silicone Spray Lube can be found at most harware and auto parts stores.

Hope it helps,

So being a complete noob when it comes to cars something like WD40 would not help right sprayed a little bit on and it does not seem to help. I tried to pinpoint where the noise comes from and it seems when it gets half way then when its nearly closed is when it makes the squeek.

Silicone spray is what you want. Go easy with it. Lasts longer, and works better on tracks.
WD40 is not the best lubricant in this situation. Works great on stuck bolts and such, but for normal operations, something a bit more robust is what you want.

I have had no problems as of yet. I have purchase mine HHR for 6 mos ago.
I have met with Black Beauty and he hasn't any problems with his Sunroof
that I am aware of but I will ask me tonight when I see him. I hope you can make the next Run we have. The one we just had on the 12th was Great.
We need to get a few more in the from Chicago.

mine sometimes refuses to close...it go all the way to the end of the track, but not latch...it takes a few forward and back for it to catch or I have to just tap the button and etch it down

I just moved, but as soon as I get settled, Im gonna find a dealer, make an appointment and get it look at as well as the AC noisy hose bulletin

Just bought some of the lube everyone talked about and it did not seem to work, i really do not want to go to the dealer because they are half assed and the other one that is close to me is abot 2 hr. Either it is the humidaty in Chicago for the past couple of days witch i hope. Or i will wait for a while to have the spary to settle in and just keep trying.

Thanks for all the ideas and i will keep you all in contact about what happens

Sunroof squeal

Mine was also squealing as it closed though it did do it everytime. I dropped it off & they found that the sunroof was misaligned and rubbing on the roof which caused the noise. Be safe & take it in before it turns into a bigger problem.
