After about 45 mins of driving in moderate traffic this afternoon, I look down and see the SVC Brake System message. There were no noticeable brake issues, pedal feedback is good, and the message cleared out when scrolling through the DIC. Any ideas? It is to late for me to drive back up to the closest dealer today.

 

The only way to know what caused the message is retrieve the trouble codes so diagnostics can be done. It may be a fluke and it may be a problem that needs to be addressed.

 

Had the exact problem on my '09 SS. Took it to the dealer and there was a crimp in the wiring harness (from the factory) that was done incorrectly. I don't know where in the harness it was, but that was my fix for the same problem. It took them two days to find it. Hope this helps!
