Sway bar link part nos?

I have read the threads about the front end clunk and guessed that I should go ahead and do the sway bar links, ball joints and bushings.

I see that there are 2 sizes mentioned here: Moog K750012 (9.86") and - K80252 (11.80").
I have a line on some brand new ones in the larger size along with inner and outer tie rod ends, LCAs and stabilizer bar link kits for a real deal.

Is there any way (other than lifting it and measuring) to tell which size I need for my '09 LT? Maybe a VIN range or something?

I would like to buy this bundle of parts, but if the sway bar links are the wrong ones, it doesn't make much sense.

Best to just measure it. Turn the wheels all the way to one side. You should be able to measure it while it's on the ground.

That is, provided that the previous owner didn't replace the originals with the wrong length part.
Everything I've read doesn't show that you could tell the length by the VIN or even year model.

You need the K750012.

If you do a search you will find what seems like hundreds of references.

I will explain one more time. Some counterman asked "do you need the 12" and it was interpreted as "12 inch"; somehow that misunderstanding got included in the parts books.

Don't say that "Moog says..." Moog also says the ball joints on a LT/LS are the same as a SS. They are wrong!

I don't believe how the price has come down!

New Pair of (2) Front Sway Bar Link Kits for a 2005-2011 Chevy Cobalt HHR G5 | eBay
Hi Don, thanks for replying.
Yeah, those ebay ones are not Moog though. I believe you get what you pay for.

The bummer is, the "package deal" I found includes the longer K80252 ones.

I guess I could buy the bundle and then sell the K80252s to someone here and buy the right ones.
I hate to pass up the LCAs, tie rod ends and stabilizer bar links. (I can get everything for $70)

That is weird. When I refreshed the post, it showed Don's reply but not yours.
Thanks for answer, I will go measure myself (when the rain lets up).

UPDATE: It is, in fact, the shorter one. Dang!

Hey George,

(Since you're local) Would you be interested in a deal on a set of the longer ones? I assume your SS uses those.

Do you have a link to the "bundle" you are talking about that you can post?

Sorry, should have said.
It is a Craig's List listing so just one and local.

Although I found several on eBay that looked pretty decent.

Hmm. Another parts ad that says it will also fit the HHR SS. And, as we know, that is incorrect. The HHR SS has different ball joints than the regular HHR's and Cobalts.
Plus, those appear to be steel LCA's. The HHR's have aluminum ones.
