Please to identify the location of a "cigarette lighter" in an HHR. There are two 12 volt power outlets, but no cig lighters. Difference being insulation; if you put a cig lighter element into a power outlet the heat can melt plastic parts and blow fuses and cause fires.

TPMS: Are you saying that ALL 4 wheels go to _ _ or just one at a time?

If all of them blank at the same time then there may be a problem with the car. If only one at a time and you get "svc TPMS" or something like that, it is more likely radio interference that the FCC allows (every garage door opener, most cordless phones, most wireless routers, some cell phones and any other RF remote application in the USA read the FCC message on any of that kind of equipment), and is a minor problem just turn the ignition off for 30 seconds then back on (after parking).

I will not go into my (low) opinion of GM dealer service departments, but sometimes you got to do it.

They said they cigarette lighter port was not giving off power. They removed the console trim to inspect the port and found connector assm coming lose and losing contact. Repaired it, yada yada.

The tire sensor would lose the RF sensor and say "svc tire monitor" . Not all of them would do that, just the RF one. On my invoice is says they went ahead and replaced all 4 sensors again and tested and test drove and it worked fine.

Let's see how long it lasts!!

Point is : Somebody at some time overloaded the power outlet, it may have a separate heat fuse in addition to the electrical fuse, some do.

& "svc tire monitor" is just no big deal, it only means that the radio signal was interrupted. On mine it is the RR no matter what wheel happens to be mounted there. I have 2 cell phones with data and a laptop with wifi and all 3 have bluetooth enabled between the RCLDR and the RR, when I pass certain areas (like Quantico MCB, you can't use a remote garage door opener there either when they are jamming) the RR goes wonkers.
