TC shutting down
TC shutting down
I have had this happen several times-my TC light comes on, indicating that it is not working. And the car shifts very hard-like a race tranny. Previously, I attributed this to a loose fuse/relay, as it happened after hitting a pothole. I shut the engine off, pushed down on all of the fuses and relays, started up the car, and it was fine. But the last 2 times it happened, I did not hit any bumps. Then, I simply shut off the engine then restarted it and the light was off.
Anybody else have this problem? I am reluctant to bring the car back to the dealer because I fear they will reflash the computer which would erase my Tune.

Never happened before, and only started happening almost 1/2 year after the tune. So, while it is suspect I cant imagine why it would suddenly start to happen. I have to call Matt anyway and I will run it by him.
I spoke with Matt from Tune Time and he is certain that the tune had nothing to do with the problem. He has never heard of it happening before, and said I should check with Chevy to see if there is any TSB on it.
Meanwhile, it happened several times today-once after I did a burn out, and another time after driving in I gear for a few minutes. Each time, if I shut down the engine for a minute, it repaired itself. But if I did not leave the engine off long enough, the TC light was still on. All very strange.
So again, I ask if ANYBODY has had their TC light come on while driving

I spoke to my Chevy dealer and he said I could bring it in for them to check for codes but he suggested I check that all connections are secure from when the repair shop changed my rear axel. I did and they all seemed ok, but one of the support rivits was not pressed in and the wire was hanging loose. I put it in place, and so far have not had any codes. I tried to get the codes checked at my friends shop, but they are only up to 2005 with the code reader. So next week I will bring it by the dealer just to see what codes, if any, are present.
