temp guage

Have 3800 miles on car and noticed today the temp guage reads 45 degrees and actual temp outside is 84. Has anyone had problems with this is it a simple fix or back to the dealer?? Thanks Patrick

There have been a number of threads on this. I found a couple that if you read through the posts, there was discussion on where the probe is and the fix seems to have been to reconnect some loose wire. The first one, post #3 describes what I am referring to even though it was not what the thread was actually about. Second one is on topic but the info on location and fix are numerous posts in.

Hope something in here helps you avoid going back to the dealer unless if course you prefer not to tackle this on your own.
