Temp/Perma Fix LH Inerior Door Handle

Done! CLOSE this one too!

(from Whopper
- lets leave this thread here (closed) as an example of what not to do.

This member got bent out of shape when he was called out for being rude to another member, and his thread was closed. It was not a major issue, but he flipped out over it. He then left some very rude messages online in a forum and on his profile. He then went back thru all of his numerous posts and edited out his posting.

Initially he was banned for a duration, due to swearing online, but now that we have found he has maliciously gone and edited out his postings it is obvious that a permanent ban is needed. It's unfortunate that he reacted this way, as the members here stepped up and really tried to help him out with several of the issues/problems he had with his HHR.

Our thanks to those trying to help him out, and goodbye to a rather unwelcome individual.)

Good one! Thanks for the details.

Another tip for you that MIGHT be useful: swap the front and rear handles such that the repaired one ends up in the rear where it is likely to be used less. That's what I did after reinforcing the rear one (which was unblemished), and swapping it with the repaired front one.

Mine were a direct swap.

Oh, you didn't take the handle out of the panel.

The "new" fixit kit is the handle itself and a new pin to replace the nylon pivot pin. You leave the "cup" attached.

BTW, there is a very similar fix posted in the how-to area. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...n-%2410-41305/
