My dad just called me a little while ago to ask if either of our HHR's have a timing belt/chain. Had to stop and think. I am not sure. I just did a couple of searches and nothing came up about a timing belt.

So guys do the HHR's have a Timing belt or is that managed by the cam and crankshift solenoids?

I have a 2009 LS. My dads is a 2006 LT

Probably because you looked for timing BELT. I found no less than 7 different threads for TIMING CHAIN.

 

Just read the second part of your question. I do know the tensioner is run off oil pressure.
