Timing Chain ?

I just got done reading the Timing chain thread from TSBREWERS so have a parts list !
My question is there a recommend time frame to change the timing chain ?
I am at 93k 0n my 2011 and about 105000 on my son's 2LT
So want to figure this into my to do list!
Ahead on several wear items already

Thanks

100 to 125 thousand miles is a good time to change it for preventative maintenance

I’d rather spend time replacing a seemingly perfectly good timing chain then replace a whole lotsa other parts or the entire engine, pushing my luck, especially with our close tolerance engines.
My god daughter’s husband last summer were visiting us, I asked him when he was going to change the timing belt in his Mazda M5 Miata, he said it’s just fine, he doesn’t drive it all that often, well he was pushing his luck, the belt let go while he was taking it to his winter storage , I’m going to be teaching him how to replace the engine this spring, when the weather breaks! He hates it when I get it right! We found a company who swaps in LE5 GM Ecotec engines , I might send him there!

I agree 110% And I would also do the water pump same time ! I would like to keep my HHR for a long time :) Body is in great shape . Mine not so much lol , Just a fun car to drive and easy to park.

And THANK YOU
I will start collecting any and all the parts I need! Then I will be ready when the time comes :)
