A timing chain is replaceable, did the valves damage the pistons ?

227k miles. she barely haul herself. revved out last night on the freeway. idled it home at 15mph on the shoulder.

Roller chains vibrate like crazy at high rpm. The Ecotec chains that last a long time are driven gently.
