I've not run anything over, nor has anything hit me. The only thing I can think of is the Speedway car wash I did last night?

Could be a possibility, but you would think that it would be in more places other than just ONE door panel. I went to a touchless car wash that scared the crap out of me and almost made me not want to drive thru the blow drier thing because it was like hurricane force winds coming out of it,lol.

When I was a Toyota ghoul, 2 of my pickups developed dents along the side panels from electronic welds rusting from the inside out. Of course, they said it was my fault that they rusted in 2 years.

I'm compulsive when it comes to my vehicles, so maybe I washed the chassis too much.


Althouch I haven't heard anything of this nature with the HHRs, perhaps yours was subject to some corrosives that would cause a similar reaction with the body welds?

I was scared because when the jet engine kicked in to dry my car off as I started pulling thru, you could see my hood shakeing like crazy and thought "this cant be good", so I kinda just drove thru it really fast and left my SS drip dry,lol.

Yeah its kinda unnerving when the body panels start oil canning like crazy in the blow dry cycle, whumpa whumpa whumpa. Never had any damage, but I know the car wash owner, and he keeps them set a bit lower to avoid blowing things off like moldings and trim bits.

This was the first time that I had ever used this particular car wash. I will remember that if there is a next time to use that one,lol. Out of all the touchless car washes I have been to, that one had the driers set on warp speed, lol.

Im sure those dent doctor guys can fix that right up for you. they will come out to your house and they do a good job I have use them before. They say the if its smaller than a quarter they can remove the dent in most cases.
