Tire psi sensors

Has anyone had a tire psi sensor read 0 psi when the tire is not flat. I have seen post where the tire sensor will read --- but I haven't seen anyone say anything about just 0 psi. its just happens on my left rear tire and is intermittent I have checked the battery life of the sensor with a tire pressure scan tool and battery reads ok I'm guessing that its time to replace the sensor.

The tool that dealers use has a function that will "wake up" the sensor. This may be all it needs. If that doesn't work then a sensor is needed.

Update

Replaced the Lt. rear sensor today with a used one that I here. It has the latest part number stamped on it. I did a relearn and all is better. I did find that it is not all that easy to replace the sensor without completely removing the tire from the rim. I was able replace it just by braking down one side of the but its a tight fit. Next time I will think I will let the tire dealer install them but I was just too cheap this time and I just dont like other people working on my cars.

I just had a brand new set of American Racing wheels, Goodyear tires and 4 new TPM's installed. System seemed to acknowledge the change virtually instantly - showing all 4 with the 1PSI increase recommended by tire shop. It will be interesting to see what it does when I put the "old" (42 miles from Factory) wheels, tires and original sensors back on in the fall. Hope it goes as well.
