Tpms (no rke)
If you have a good tire center in your area, see if they have a copy of the Mitchell1 TPMS manual. It supposedly has the reset/relearn procedures for every car manufactured with TPMS. It may shed some light if your vehicle truly has no RKE capabilities.
Thanks, I will give that a try.
I have a 2008 HHR LT (fleet/rental); That means among other things it DOES NOT have RKE or remote start, there IS NO remote receiver module, I have had it checked at the local dealer, NO REMOTE RECEIVER.
The question is: How does one rotate the tires and then re-match the TPMS to the wheels.

But just like a base model pickup truck it does not have the "RKE/Remote Start Package". I have never looked at the BCM options to see if at least RKE could be turned on with the Tech II scanner, but I know the remote start is not simply turned on for sure.
Your TPM sensors are programmed the same way as all others, either using the owners manual instructions or the Kent Moore tool supplied to dealers by GM.
You can get more questions answered here concerning the TPM system:

Over 20 rentals from 2006-2008 of the HHRs I have driven have all had a FOB in the HHR and all but one worked and I woke up the motel with that one...
Thats How I did my "Find My HHR Game"
Thanks ChevyMGR.
So since there is no RKE I MUST go to a dealer (who knows about and has the special tool) to have the TPMS matched? Or, maybe find a tire shop that has the special tool?
That seems like GM is really trying to pull something

ALL HHRs with TPMS have an RCDLR. You perform the relearn procedure same way as a higher model, you just have to use the DIC to engage learn mode.
Okay, then I am back to the original Question. How do I use the DIC to enter learning mode? The Owner's Manual only details pushing lock and unlock on the fob at the same time, I do not have any option in the DIC pertaining to the TPMS. Have I missed something?
Thanks
Thanks
To get into personalization you press and hold the bottom two left hand buttons on the steering wheel for 2 seconds. I don't think you will have a TPM set up in there, but I could be wrong since I haven't looked on a fleet 08 HHR.
Thanks ChevyMgr,
BUT, see post #7 in this thread. The dealership I bought from tried the Tech II Scanner. if that's the right name for the magic programming box. He said that the scanner told him there was no receiver, so he went looking and could not find one, he did verify that the fob was the correct part number for the year and model.
I have been into the personalization menu and there is no tire pressure option. I also got that advice from dealership #3 in my quest.
I am beginning to think that the vehicle is a slap together of parts, regardless of what CARFAX says.
The vehicle is a work machine and I really cannot afford to be off the road at dealerships hoping to find a tech that that was paying attention that day in school.
Any suggestion on how to find a Mr. Goodwrench who knows this particular tidbit, or can document that the computer/dashboard has been doctored. Proof of doctoring could be actionable.
Also I did PM you the VIN to which you replied no RKE.
