TPMS problem

Hey yall I have an 08 Panel and recently when I got in and cranked it the low tire pressure light came on. I got out and looked at the tires and immediately drove it up to my garage to check the pressure. All four tires read exactly the same give or take a 1/2 pound. The dash reading says I have 34 lbs in all the tires except the right front and it reads 25lbs. Could this be just a bad sensor ?

Yes it could.

You can try deflating and refilling the tire and then see what the tpms system says.

Sounds like a faulty tpm sensor. Most of the time they stop reading all together instead of just reading wrong.

Has anyone ever put fix a flat in the tire? I have seen that mess up a few.

Also if you decide to replace the sensor make sure that the relearn procedure was done the last time the tires were rotated or moved from one position to another.

I mention this because if the car was serviced and the tech did not put a wheel back on the same position no one will know until you try to fill a low tire indicated by the dash.

sense the relearn was not done your adjusting or replacing the wrong sensor.

I have used both "original" and "sensor safe" fix a flat with no harm being done.

But there are warnings on the can that I ignored.

I am suspecting human error since one is reading 25. Either getting the reading or in the position resetting.

I seem to recall the warning comes on at like 8 PSI difference from each other.

You ARE good. 8 PSI difference is correct (to my limited knowledge) too, and whomever said that "the sensors usually just fail" is also correct.

OP, another "long-shot" issue is, if the light is intermittent, it could be picking up a sensor from another nearby vehicle. It's possible, if not all that likely. IF it "only happens at home", or something similar, consider this...
