TPMS, something happened
My 08 SS just exhibited this TPMS problem today. The RR sensor was intermittently reporting zero pressure. This vehicle has 55,000 on the odometer. Before logging on to the HHR Net, I did a Google search, which pointed to an earlier thread in which ChevMgr mentioned a TSB, something to do with reprogramming the system.

Assuming you have to take the tire of the rim when you put the Schrader TPMS in? My RR just failed at 23K but I'm out of warrenty (bought it 3 years ago this July) I need new tires by fall, I'll order 4 of these (HHR Specific) and have them installed over the factory.
This is a stupid problem and though I know the general non-enthusiast public is somehow safer by this rule, the government should mandate that this be a lifetime warrenty. STUPID chinese made rubber crap. After this car, I'm done with GM.
Can I just drive this until I replace the tires or is it going to alert Big Brother and disable my car?
