I got my car washed the other day, it wa 15F out. I drove home and it felt like I had a shift kit installed. I have the 2.4 Auto Tranny. After every gear change the car would jump, felt like my shift kit I had on my trans am. After 15 min. it was gone. Was the Tranny Frozen? Just wondering if I should have it looked at? It hasnt happened since and never happened before that...

Mine does that when it gets cold out and it has not warmed up. Seems to try and hold the gear before shifting , almost like the mode switch on a TransAm I used to have, made it get to 100 faster..After the fluid gets warm it does ok. By cold I mean in the 20's or 30's. I would hate to see 15F it would probably not shift at all..
