Had codes read again p0700 and p0974, thought I would check the electrical connections but not sure where the are. Beleive I found one behind the pass front tire, disconnected and it looks good but not sure where the soleniod electrical connections are. Again beleive this had todo with water intrusion. Suggestions? Thanks

Inspect the connection just down to the right of the oil filter housing to the transmission and please disconnect the battery at the neg cable in the spare tire area first and place a towel over the latch so if the liftgate gets closed you can still open it

The smaller of the two silver boxes in front of the fuse box under the Darth Vader hood is the TCM there is only one electrical connection on the exterior of the trans. The solenoid are internal.

Trans shift problem 07 LT 2.4L

Believe I have the same problem.
I also wonder if the TCM interchanges with one of same part number AND letter code on donor TCM?
I was wondering If anyone has ever switched them?

They should interchange but might require VIN match at dealership

Sorry to wake the dead thread but I'm having the exact same issue. I drove through very hard rain and now no 1st gear no 4th gear. Codes are 0751 0974 0700. I have checked all the grounds. I have checked the TCM connection. I have visibly checked wires for faults like brakes or shorts or damaged connections. I have disconnected the battery to reset the light but it returns and conditions do not change. My next step I think should be to replace fluid, filter, and solenoids in the transmission. What do yall think?

Did you try to dry out the electrical connections to the trans? 1 on top (the other end of the TCM wires) and 1 on the passenger side bottom (output speed sensor).

This pic is from the passenger side, it's the best I can find.

Have you ever turned a wet glass upside down and looked at it after a month? If air can't get to it it will not dry.

The codes are telling you that there is a bad electrical connection, the easiest to get to are the best place to start. After that you will have to get inside the trans to the internal connections.

Is this the connector in which is spoken of? I ask cause I'm getting P0974 and P0700 as well. 215k and still very much rolling. Not in 4th gear, but hey.
