Turn Lamp Keeps Blowing

Turn Lamp Keeps Blowing
Can anybody say why I need to keep replacing the front turn signal lamp. It quits working within hours of replacement. The bulb turns white. I have replaced 4 in one week. Is there a fix??

I'd throw a multimeter on the socket, and check for ground, and also check for voltage. I used to have a Volvo that ate brake lights, until I found a build up of nasty crud on the contacts at the base of the socket. Giving it a good cleaning resolved that problem. So, check the socket contacts for "crud". :)

X2 to both posts #2 and #3.
I have had problems with the taillight sockets on my '06, one side corroded badly, and the other side partially melted creating a short that had both filaments on at the same time....which killed a bulb in a week.

I just noticed today on my 2011 that the parking lights are always on, DRL and headlight mode. The law says that the turn signal has to be brighter than the parking light. I wonder if maybe the wiring can get reversed or the bulb forced in backward causing the bulb to over heat, same for the rear problems and the 2006 quirk of melting the lens.

Usually when a bulb turns white from the inside, there is air inside the bulb instead of a vacuum. The bulb is defective or damaged.

Still confused
Not sure what or why but here is what I got. -- Checked everything prior to making the first post and problem still persisted.
I separated the socket from the loom and swapped them around, left to right & right to left. Replaced both bulbs and now the equipment has been working for the past 4 days without a problem. ----- This must be MAGIC

No reverse wiring. Both sides are identical. Besides, bulbs have no + or - so that could not cause the problem, but that did not happen. I have since looked back at the packaging in which the "BAD" bulbs came. I found that the part number is different from what is correct. It seems the Auto parts store sold me the wrong item.
