Turn signals not deactivating?

So My wifes cobalt and my new hhr both have this problem and as far as quality, This should not be happening. My wifes turn signal doesn't shut off when turning left and mine does it when the wheel is turned back faster. anyone else having this issue? I talked to the STEALERSHIP and they wanted 400 dollars PER CAR to fix it?

This happened to me when I bought my 2007 HHR this year as a used car. Mine seem like they almost never go off on their own, either direction. I've just adjusted and gotten used to it. Now, whenever I make a turn, it's just a natural habit to shut off the blinker. It bugged me at first that I had to do that, but now I don't even think about it, I just do it. But, the funny thing is people always ask me, "don't your blinkers go off automatically?" And I'm like, "What? Oh. No, I have to shut them off myself." You can spend $400 to fix it if you want, but I think over a while you'll just get used to it.

By the way, here's a link to my thread about the blinker issue. You can see other people's responses. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...+automatically

Mine works fine, and I came from a vehicle that didn't.... took me awhile to get used to not shutting them off. This is usually (most cars) a steering wheel hub problem, there is a cam that turns them off, usually plastic these days, and it wears, breaks, or fatigues so that it doesn't hit the actuator anymore.

A $400.00 charge means the dealer doesn't want to mess with it.......

I too have recently been dealing with this on my 06.
It only occurs when turning right, but only occasionally.
I figure it's just another "retro" fitting..........

The way I see it, This should not be a problem. when people talk about things wearing out due to mileage or age they arent talking about blinkers not shutting off. Which is once again another quality issue from GM. I would be fine (I guess) if they didn't work at all. But im alway having to pay attention to see if the turn signals have shut off. Sometimes it clicks. Sometimes it doesn't.
