But of course you didn't know it was the thermostat. :) However now that you do, doing a search for it will lead you to a detailed procedure on changing it out.
If you had done a search for 'no temperature display' you will find a number of threads on the same subject, most of which point back to the posting on changing it out.
If you haven't already changed it out, be prepared for a bit of a sticker shock - thermostats are no longer a $2.99 item anymore.
