Washer Pump Grommet

My daughter's 2011 has a leaking washer pump grommet. I temporarily sealed it somewhat by putting some plumber's putty on it but that will not hold up long.

I could use RTV and permanently seal the pump to the grommet and grommet to the tank.

Has anyone found a grommet that fits in one of the auto parts store sections that have general-purpose replacement parts (like the "HELP" parts)?

I looked up old threads here and it looks like someone got a grommet from his dealer, but that was 9 years ago.

The online GM parts places don't even list a part number for the grommet, does anyone know the number if it even exists now?

Thanks
Steve

Grommet is not available without the pump. I applied silicon gasket maker to mine 3 years ago... No more leaks.

I think that's what I'm going to do.

What I did was

A: Remove the pump, take the grommet off the pump. Run a small bead of silicon around the inside of grommet and reinstall.

B: Clean the tank well. Run a small bead of silicon around the outside of the grommet and install the pump again.

C: Clean up any squeeze out and let dry.

If the pump ever does fail, silicon won't permanently stick to the tank, it can be peeled off before replacing the pump. If that ever happens on mine I will probably use silicon on the new grommet the same way.

Plumber's GOOP or Marine GOOP is the ticket; it will stick really well to HDPE plastic and last a long time, cures fairly fast.

The pump is a Hella, same as used in a bunch of cars including Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and more.
I got some on Amazon for a couple bucks.
Porsche rings a bell.

However, the one used on the HHR is reversible. Are those?

I googled all three, they might work but do not appear to be reversible.
the pump setup looks quite similar to our trucklets.

Smile Washer pump grommet

I had this same issue about 5 years ago , I think. I was able to buy new ones at the dealership at that time, I guess before they were discontinued.
I just went out to the shop and looked in my parts cabinet and found the little bag I put them in and the number I wrote on the bag was 22039457 2116D. This was not the GM parts bag, just a small re seal able bag I had to keep them fresh.
Don't know if that is still a good number or not but glad I bought three extras then cause I only have two left. At that time the parts were only about $2 bucks each.
Maybe this info will help in the future..

Just went online to GM Parts Direct.com and typed in the part number of 22039457 and it brought up the rubber grommet for the HHR @ 1.12 each.
