Don't Know what you mean by reversible.
The grommet on my 2011 has a "T" shaped cross section, widest part against the pump.
Just fits one way.

I just went out to the shop and looked in my parts cabinet and found the little bag I put them in and the number I wrote on the bag was 22039457 2116D. This was not the GM parts bag, just a small re seal able bag I had to keep them fresh.
Don't know if that is still a good number or not but glad I bought three extras then cause I only have two left. At that time the parts were only about $2 bucks each.
Maybe this info will help in the future..

Just went online to GM Parts Direct.com and typed in the part number of 22039457 and it brought up the rubber grommet for the HHR @ 1.12 each.
That is the same number as the ones I got and referenced above.
Some places have them for as little as $0.35, but the shipping is silly.
I use Amazon Prime free shipping.

I got some on Amazon for a couple bucks.
Porsche rings a bell.
Some of us are talking pump others talking grommet. You seemed to be talking pump. The pumps are definitely more than a couple bucks.

Yes the grommet, cheapest I found was 35cents, but didn't check shipping on those.

As far as pumps;
If you can live with a single outlet pump then I found some for less than 10 bucks a piece.
I could live with that since I've only used the rear washer once in a couple years.

Greetings All,

I went to the site shown above, typed in the part number(s) as listed above searching for the grommet for my 2010 HHR. First the shorter one with the $1.12 price included and then the number above it with the 2116D included in it. BOTH came back as "this part does not fit your vehicle". In addition, the auto reply included a link for the entire pump assembly for $42.00+. I find it hard to believe that the grommet changed at all from year to year. So should I simply ignore it? Thanks.

How did you find them on Amazon (specifically)?

Thank you.

I remember reading this old thread when I had to replace my failed pump. Didn’t need the grommet because it was included with the new pump, I discovered. Somewhere I read that a new one may need a bit of force to properly insert. Can confirm that was the case, and it’s easy to insert it insufficiently and think you have a leaker.

Read comment #10.

By typing the part number into the Amazon search. Sometimes adding the part name and/or "gm" helps.
The gasket is reusable and comes with some new pumps.
Frequently the parts book listings stop at 2008 or some other year, so if you search for a part for a 2011 specifically they will show as "does not fit".

X2 and sometimes the Amazon vendor will list the HHR as 2005 to 2012, or 2005 to 2010. I really don’t think they researched the HHR .
Did you try a part number search on the RockAuto site?
