Sounds like you have a plugged drain on the evaporator, the condensate is running inside instead of draining under the vehicle. If you have access to a lift you can clean out the drain from underneath, its most likely clogged with algae. If you don't have access to a lift your dealer or mechanic can clear out the drain in a few minutes and you'll be good to go.

Its on the firewall, towards the passenger side, really only reachable from underneath. Here are a couple of pics illustrating the drain tube and its location, hope these help.

Dear raminator01,

I can understand how stressful this would be. Have you been able to look into the information that the members of the forum have shared with you or did you have to take the vehicle to the dealership?

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

Daverb-
I don't believe the cabin air filter could cause leaking..

raminator01-
I think the A/C drain like 843 suggested would be a great starting place to check..

PS: saturday is the 9th..

Similar issue - but still stumped.

Hi everyone,

I have been reading through many posts on this topic, and I am finding myself stumped.

First off: I have an '08. The symptom is some sloshing water sound inside the blower, and dripping through that felt "bowl" shaped piece of trim under the glove box, on to the carpet. The passenger side front is what gets wet, and you can visibly see the water drip when it is happening. There's 100 other threads on this, and I have read them all.

It has been raining here for days and the floor has not gotten any wetter. That tells me that rain water may not be the problem.

It does only leak when the AC is running.

My cabin air filter is pretty clean and completely dry. My year is not supposed to have that "butyl patch" problem under the cowl. Even if it did, I would think the first thing to get soaked would be the air filter. Dry as a bone.

I was able to get my arm back behind the engine and clean out the condensate drain. Or so I thought. I got a good 7 inches of the red plastic weed-trimmer line up there and dug around for a bit. Nothing came out, nothing seemed stuck up there. There was a little bit of moisture on the end of the plastic line.

However, I can confirm that no water is dripping out of that hose at all.

So, assuming what I have is indeed a problem with the condensate dripping inside the car instead of draining outside (and not rain water)-

Why would it get into the blower motor? Maybe it's just the way it works, but I don't have a good understanding of the flow of condensate. Taking it through the blower box seems like a bad design.

And, what does that condensate tube connect to on the inside of the car? I am thinking perhaps it is clogged or even broken really far back, and that's why the water never makes it to the tube and the tube feels clean.

Is there anything I can do from inside to try to sort this out?
