Most likely the butyl patch leaking at the air intake duct at the cowl which is under the plastic cover at the base of the windshield. Are you under warranty? If not I can email the bulletin for the fix if you want to try it yourself. Send me a PM with email address.

I've had this happen twice now. 1st time was about a month ago now, 2nd time was over the weekend. Both times it happened after a downpour, I believe it to be the drain hole on the front passenger side of the sunroof. Both times that was the "low" corner when parked. I know for sure it isn't the A/C prob as the first time I hadn't had the A/C running for several days and the second time it had been sitting for 2 days.

I have a water leak!!!

Well I got off work and get in the car and it is soaked on the passenger side.

We had to have the windshield replaced about three weeks after we bought it, dealer paid to have it done.

Yall that it could be from this being replaced?

It has been pouring out, they said this morning we could get up to 5 inches of rain over the next couple days.

Looks like I have to take it to the dealer. I guess.

If I did not know better I would have thought that was a picture of my HHR.
I just got my HHR back from the dealer for the third time concerning water leaks. GM did replace my carpet and floor mats do to the water damage and stains. I hope they fixed it this time. There is a GM service bulletin containing tests for multiple leaks in the HHR.

All Season Floor Mats

When GM replaced my carpet and floor mats I asked that they replace the carpet mats with all season mats. This should make it much easier to clean and better protection for my carpet. I think they look great.

Cabin Air Filter

Anyone having water leak problems should check their cabin air filter for mold and moisture.

I really like the two-tone coloring and style of those mats. It looks well with the grey carpet.

But they don't appear to be styled specifically for the HHR. Notice the space between the gas pedal area and the brake pedal area. Really is no need for that since the mat doesn't reach up and behind the pedal (which may be a good thing, based on some pedal/floor mat reported problems).

But they do look nice.

I concur with max, and if it is wet, the the leak is right above it at the butyl patch. It has to be replaced and resealed. I have seen this more then a few times. Another new tell-tale sign is the blower resistor is blown or the blower motor is shorted out. I would think all the dealers know about this but I could not gurantee that.
