My HHR has been at the dealer since last Tuesday (5 working days now) for a warranty replacement of the water pump. I just called and it's STILL not done. I told him this has to be the most expensive water pump replacement in the GM lineup, on one of it's cheapest cars. He said 'it is'.

I feel like I'm getting the runaround and that my car is just sitting not being worked on. Does anyone here know how long, manhours, it takes to replace the water pump on a 2.4 liter? BTW mine is a 2006 although doubt that matters, NOT an SS, just an LT.

When I was at the dealer for owner orientation they talked about the day you bring a car in is not an appointment per say. More or less they indicated they get to it when they get to it...

i went in 2 weeks prior it was diagnosed and parts were ordered. they can't use that as an excuse!

 

It's a three hour job. You need to call the service manager and find out what's up.

 

that's pretty much what i thought. thanks for confirming. i will drive over there tomorrow for a 'face to face' and to see my car.
