What Happened???

I drove to Wal mart this morning and when I came out to leave my radio would not work. The warning buzzer would not sound and the turn signals work but you can`t hear the blinker. The radio works but there is only a small hiss coming from the speakers. It`s not under warranty so I hope it`s something simple. Anyone have any ideas?

Is this a 2006? I think (maybe) I read something about that here and it was the ignition switch but can’t remember for sure. I would suggest doing a long, frustrating, and time consuming thread search with various word combinations, its there just takes time to find. The fuses DO NOT come lose, strictly folk lore in MY opinion!

Yes it`s an 06 with 6 disc changer and xm. I check the fuses the other day and they were a little loose. The radio and cd changer is working you just can`t hear it.

It could be an ignition switch and it might be the fuse center under the hood. An easy test is to make a fist and hit the side of the main fuse center a few times to see if they start working again. How many miles do you have on it?

I've heard there is still no cure for that either. I think it is tied into global warming.

If you don't have an extended service contract then I would try calling a chevy dealer and ask the service manager for goodwill assistance. Don't try the service advisors since they can't authorize it. You should be able to get help. Tact goes a long way in these dealings.
